Gaming
Introducing Gaming class as an exploratory option to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders for the 2023-24 school year, located in room 201c.
In this course, students will participate in a variety of gaming experiences designed to support the following: demonstration of competency in motor skills; understanding movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to the learning and performance of specific games; comprehending concepts related to health and preventative care in gamers; demonstrating the ability to use interpersonal communication skills that respect others in an online gaming environment; and analyzing the reciprocal influence of eSports, culture, media, technology, and other factors.
 Additional Classroom Expectations for Gaming Class
I will be respectful of equipment.
I will not spin around in the chair.
I may bring my own equipment, but I understand that I am responsible for it.
I will play one of the following games: Valorant, Rocket League, Minecraft or Fortnite.
Any other game must be approved by the teacher. Keep in mind, some games will not go through the filter controlled by the district.
